The Department of State initiated a Women in Science Hall of Fame in 2010 to honor outstanding female scientists throughout the Middle East and North Africa. 

 

New hall of fame members are selected annually for their professional accomplishments, aiming to develop a strong network of professional women scientists across the region. 

These role models also motivate and inspire girls to study science and pursue scientific careers.

Meet women in science

The Women in Science Hall of Fame Program was lunched by the Regional Environment, Science and Technology and Health hub office (ESTH Hub) at the U.S. Embassy in Amman in 2010 to honor outstanding Arab female scientists throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

 

U.S Embassies in the region annualy recognize women scientists from variety of scientific disciplines for their professional accomplishments and ability to motivate and inspire young women to pursue scientific careers.

First ever Women in Science Symposium held at PSUT under HRH  presence Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan.
